With the Class of 2019 walking across the stage, it's time for the Class of 2020 to rise up and assume the position of SENIOR and I have an amazing opportunity for 2020 Senior Girls!
Your senior year is a special one and one filled with bittersweet emotions. It becomes a year of further defining who you are and who you will become. It's holding on to friendships that you've had for 13 years and looking forward to new relationships in the future. It's being thankful to your parents for all they've done and the sacrifices they've made for you.
It's a year of lasts.
It's a year of tears.
It's a year of joy.

You will test the boundaries while clinging to the safety of home.
You'll realize you don't know everything.

Some days you'll be counting down the days until graduation. Other days you'll long for the simplicity of year's past.

Throughout it all, you should live each day with your arms opened wide, enjoying each step of the year.
This experience will include monthly get-togethers and monthly photography sessions, fun free items, discounts galore, and a corner of the world that is just for you; for you to band together across the city, to help the community, to feel great about yourselves and to love hard.
So what exactly is Tribe?
In a few words, Tribe 2020 is a unique photography experience for local seniors, combining the need for a tribe during exciting times in life and a totally different approach to senior photography! Every year, only.young.once has accepted applicants from juniors at nearby high schools who wish to be only.young.once reps. Although that has been an amazing experience, I want to kick it up a notch for the 2020 Senior Class. I feel very strongly that Senior Year is one that should be celebrated and remembered fondly. Tribe takes the senior photo session to the next next next level! (Yes, there are 3 nexts!)
Selecting Members
So here's the deal: I’m looking for students who are actively involved in school programs and/or the community, students who are friendly, kind and easy to talk to, students who thrive in creative settings, and students who are, in general, just really great people.
As a member of Tribe, you are an extension of what my studio is all about. For that reason, it's important to me to work with a diverse selection of seniors. In the past, I've worked with athletes, academic champions, musically-inclined, philanthropic community members and more.
For Tribe 2020, I’ll be selecting no more than 20 members. Once accepted, you'll receive both a phone call and an email letting you know that it's GAME ON (that means get excited)!
When does Tribe start?
This year, Tribe will be starting in June and will last 12 months! That’s right...12 months! While I don’t want this to be a normal photography session, the perks of being a member of Tribe will blow your mind!
Each month Tribe members will have the opportunity to participate in a Tribe get-together and Tribe Mini Sessions.
Each event will be all about you and the Tribe. You'll make friends and we'll create a fabulous connection with other young ladies in KC.
Starting in June 2019, we’ll get together to meet each other and plan our year. While I have a general schedule for the year, each class has a unique perspective, resulting in unique ideas!
Get-togethers include such things as a meet + greet brunch, a favorite things Christmas party, a service project outing and more! Mini session events include locations such as Downtown KC, Smithville Lake, Union Station, sessions with mom and more!
An Online Photo Gallery
All the images from each photo session will go into an online photo gallery. This gallery allows you to share photographs easily with friends and family who want to see all the final pictures from each session.
Freebies from Each Session
Each of the mini sessions will include a freebie. Sometimes it is wallet sized images. Other months will be free digital images.
2 Personalized Sessions
Anytime within the year, you can schedule 2 full length sessions. These sessions will have hair and make-up available as well as fashion tips from an expert! You pick the dates. You pick the locations.
Print and Product Discount
You will receive tons of discounts throughout the year. Discounts on the mini sessions, discounted events for dance photos (homecoming and Prom), and discounted packages on your full sessions.
Other benefits:
•private access to the Tribe 2020 Facebook group
•social media promotional images
•fun gifts throughout the year
•personalized blog posts
•lifelong friendships
•a safe, small group experience to maximize your senior year.

What schools do you need reps from?
I accept representatives from all area schools. I like to choose representatives from multiple schools, but I've accepted more than one person from the same school in the past!

Because you asked... I’ll have you and your parents sign a model release and a contract indicating that you’ll only work with only.young.once. You’ll need to maintain good grades, good school attendance and stay out of trouble! You’ll need to agree that everything talked about during Tribe meetings will remain confidential.
How much does it cost?

How do I apply?
I have a questionnaire application linked below. Make sure you fill it out with the deadline and include three photographs of yourself! Anything is better with a friend too, so if you know someone who would love to apply with you, please do share!
